Translation Policy

 Here are some information about how everything runs in First Chapters.

• How do I translate books and novels?

Basically, I have translated some sneak-peeks and first chapters of some novels and books but I do not publish them for public. I used to do it for practicing and training my translating and intrepreting skills. So, in the very first place, I will contact the writer whose novel or book I purpose to translate by email or any social media he or she has. I will ask their permission and approval for publishing the translation result to First Chapters blog. After I got their confirmation, soon I will post the translation version in this blog and send the link to the author.

•  What if I do not get approval from the writer?

Absolutely, I will not publish it for public, not even for a penny. Respect for copyright issue.

•  What books do I translate?

 Novels from any genres (classics, contemporary, young adult, teen romance, children, science fiction etc.) But for now I do not accept erotica, suspense, horror, thriller or any kind of them. The books can be mass published or self-published or even someone's undone draft that pilled up in their laptop memory. :-P PS. Only untranslated novels and books I will translate in First Chapters.

•  Do I own the copyright of the books or novels?

 NO. IT STILL BELONGS TO THE AUTHORS. I own only the translation that also belongs to them since I just derive their work into another languages.

•  Do writers or readers have to pay for getting their books translated here?

 IT IS TOTALLY FREE. I do it for appreciating them, not digging their money. :-P

•  If you're a writer and want to be featured here, what should you do?

 You are welcomed to send the excerpt or sneak peek or first chapter via e-mail in the form of .pdf/.doc. If I am not in an on-progress work, soon I make sure your first chapter will be published here in English or Bahasa Indonesia. :-)

•  Am I open to any kind of professional chance to publishers?

 YES. If you need to hire me for freelance or professional, (that will be interesting), to have translation in certain publishers, I will say yes.
